Devoted Health, a tech-enabled Medicare Advantage company that has been in the StartUp Health community since 2018, closed out 2023 with $175M in fresh funding, marking one of the largest funding rounds of the year. The series E round was led by The Space Between (TSB), Highbury Holdings, GIC, Stardust Equity, Maverick Ventures, and Fearless Ventures, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, GreatPoint Ventures, Socium Ventures, Emerson Collective, The Private Shares Fund, and F-Prime Capital Partners. <source>

Recently reported health innovation funding also included:

knownwell, a Boston, MA-based in-person and virtual weight-inclusive primary care and metabolic health company, raised $20M led by A16Z, with participation from existing investors including Flare Capital Partners. <source>

Heranova Lifesciences, a Burlington, MA-based biotech company for women’s health, raised $13.5M from Pivotal bioVenture Partners China, Sinovation Ventures, Emerging Technology Partners, and Triwise Capital. <source>

Susu, an Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire-based healthtech startup focused on enhancing medical accessibility for individuals in Africa, raised €4.5M ($4.9M) from INCO Ventures, Al Mada Ventures, Janngo Capital, Open CNP, Health54 (CFAO Healthcare), Launch Africa Ventures, Five35 Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures, and business angels. <source>

Forte, a workplace wellbeing startup, raised $3.3M led by Tom Blaisdell (AlignPact), with participation from Cubit Capital, Fairbridge Park, and Sovereign’s Capital. <source>

Xploro, a Cleveland, OH-based pediatric digital health company, raised $1.7M from Boomerang Ventures. <source>
