This week’s reported health innovation funding was led by Ceribell, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of a cloud-linked, portable electroencephalogram (EEG) technology. The $50M extension of the startup’s Series C was led by Ally Bridge Group. <source>

Other recent deals included:

TCARE, a St Louis, MO-based caregiver analytics platform that works with managed care organizations and insurance carriers, raised $17M led by American Family Ventures. <source>

Optellum, an Oxford, UK-based medtech company that provides an AI platform to diagnose and treat early-stage lung cancer, raised $14M led by Mercia, with participation from Intuitive Ventures and Black Opal. <source>

Lyfegen, a Basel, Switzerland-based SaaS analytics company used by healthcare payers and pharma companies, raised $8M led by aMoon, with participation from APEX Ventures and others. <source>

Limbo, a New York, NY- and Cork, Ireland-based health and wellness service that uses real-time biodata to create an individualized approach to lose weight, raised $6M led by Hoxton Ventures, with participation from individual investors including Shaquille O’Neal. <source>

Bicycle Health, a Boston, MA-based provider of virtual opioid addiction treatment, raised $5M from Cobalt Ventures. <source>

Leuko, a Boston, MA-based developer of a non-invasive white blood cell device, raised $5M from HTH VC, Good Growth Capital, IAG Capital Partners, Nina Capital, and angel investors. <source>

Nodal, a platform connecting intended parents with surrogates, raised $4.7M led by Amplo, with participation from Great Oaks Venture Capital, Interplay Venture Capital, and others. <source>

Perch, a Cambridge, MA-based startup that uses AI tech to monitor an athlete’s movements during exercise in the gym, raised $4M from Bradley Bloom, Ledgeways Ventures, and Byron Jones. <source>

Kalogon, a Cocoa, FL-based developer of a smart cushion that prevents any one part of the body from being compressed for too long, raised $3.3M led by SeedFundersOrlando, with participation from DeepWork Capital, VenVelo, and Sawmill Angels. <source>

Pattern Health, a Durham, NC-based no-code platform for building digital health tools, raised $3.3M led by the Dr. William H. Joyce Family Office, with participation from Cofounders Capital, the Launch Place, and Triangle Tweener Fund. <source>

Surge, a San Francisco, CA- and Paris, France-based biotech company focused on optimizing treatment for patients undergoing surgery, raised $2.6M co-led by HCVC and Boutique Venture Partners, with participation from angel investors. <source>

Metre, an Oakland, CA-based developer of a breath-based device designed to replace blood tests for metabolic measurements, raised $1M from Michael Adams and John Broderick. <source>
