On Tuesday at #HLTH2019, StartUp Health’s Co-founder and President, Unity Stoakes shared the stage with Michael Acton Smith, Co-founder of the first mental health unicorn company, Calm.

This year’s HLTH event in Las Vegas was a discovery-packed health innovation conference. And not just because of the event’s coverage of breakthrough technologies like Anthem’s blockchain network for large health systems, or Twitter’s emerging health sector. This year, much of the agenda was dedicated to asking the hard, industry-disrupting questions, which uncovered solutions and roadmaps for integration. Questions like: What are the invisible barriers to gender parity that can hinder growth and innovation in health? Or, when it comes to designing cancer treatments, how can we make sure the patient’s voice is weighed with as much importance as his/her genetic profile? Or, does more money invested in health innovation automatically mean more transformation? At a time when health innovation funding is on track to have its second most-funded year ever, StartUp Health was proud to have an active voice in the conversations shaping the future of health.

These are our #HLTH2019 highlights.
