This year, the Frontiers Health conference is held at the Axica Conference Center in Berlin.

Today, 600+ health innovators from investment funds, life science companies, digital health hubs, insurance companies, and health tech startups are converging in Berlin’s Axica Conference Center to kick off the 2019 Frontiers Health conference. The event has fast become one of the premiere conferences in the digital health space. In addition to offering a vibrant backdrop of culture and history, the German-capital is ground zero for the country’s recent efforts to modernize their healthcare system. After decades of stagnancy, the German healthcare system opened its public health market to digital innovations this year, with the passing of the DVG (Digital healthcare law) in parliament.

“Frontiers Health has become a true platform for the digital health innovation ecosystem to thrive,” said Roberto Ascione, CEO at Healthware Group and former Chairman at Frontiers Health in an interview with StartUp Health last year. “It’s a unique global gathering of people driving the digital transformation of health and fostering collaborations and convergence between industry players in pharma, consumer health, device, insurance and innovative start-ups.”

The conference runs through Friday, Nov 15. This year’s agenda includes showcases and panel discussions on rising health tech like VR and robotics, pitches and discovery demos by startups, and deep dives into regional and trend-specific health innovation topics like Asia’s evolving healthcare system and the rise of strategic venture in U.S. healthcare. This year, StartUp Health is represented at the event by the below entrepreneurs from our global army of Health Transformers who are sharing their vision for health innovation.

If you’re in Berlin, look us up.

Ouchie’s corresponding provider dashboard allows patients’ clinicians to remotely monitor treatment progress and make adjustments to increase efficacy, enabling them to make money while supporting patients better. Marina Borukhovich

Co-founder & CEO, YourCoach

Borukhovich is on a moonshot to have nine billion people live healthy lifestyles. At YourCoach, she’s developed a client management solution that empowers health coaches to build their businesses while surrounding their clients with the expertise needed to live a healthy life. The platform serves as a refueling station for coaches, offering them a digital space to connect and be mentored by their peers. It also creates a common ground for groups of coaches (called Squads) to form around individual clients in order to deliver coordinated, personal care from any combination of health and wellness professionals, be it a nutritionist, a meditation expert, or therapist; the kind of personalized care Borukhovich says she wishes she’d had in her early years of building her own health coaching career. With complete workflow and administration features for new client signup, payment, and outcomes tracking, in addition to video chats, texts, and scheduling tools, she and her team at YourCoach have created what has the potential to be the first one-stop-shop for health coaches. Currently, coaches and educators have to bounce between various associations and digital toolkits to gather the resources needed to do their jobs effectively.
